Letter Opener
This letter opener belonged originally to Ivan Mouravieff-Apostol and was passed to Matvei and eventually to Vladimir Mouravieff-Apostol-Korobyine. Nadezhda, his wife, gave it to Alexis, her son, who gave it to Nicholas, his nephew, in 1972. It is ivory with silver initials, M A, applied at one end. It is 1" wide and 10" long weighing 45 grams.
Personal Seal

This Personal Seal belonged to Vladimir Mouravieff-Apostol-Korobyine and was probably used by him to stamp commercial documents, The Seal is engraved silver and weighs 35 grams. It is 2 1/2' long and the top has a diameter of 1". The seal depicts a goat and has a latin inscription and has a diameter of 1/2". It would usually imprint heated wax placed on the document or to seal an envelope.
